Jennifer Lopez & Ben Affleck’s New Mansion Costs A Whopping $60.8 Million And Boasts Stunning Views

Jennifer Lopez is one of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Restricting Lopez to the movie industry would be wrong on all fronts, as she started her foray into the world of entertainment in 1991 as a Fly Girl dancer in the comedy sketch “In Living Color.”

After being a regular on the show for two years, Lopez took a leap into acting, but it wasn’t until 1997 that she got her first major role as a lead actor in the biopic, “Selena.” Needless to say, the sky has been Lopez’s starting point since she got her big break, as she has broken ground in the movie and music industries.

On the other hand, Ben Affleck has been on the acting front since he was a child. The Oscar-winning actor started his career as a child on the PBS children’s series “The Voyage of the Mimi.” After his time in the children’s series, the actor continued acting in smaller roles, until 1997 when he got a big break in his career for co-writing and starring in the 1997 psychological drama “Good Will Hunting.” During the course of his almost four decades-long career Affleck has walked home with two Academy Awards.

Although Lopez and Affleck have held their place individually in Hollywood for over three decades, the two are also famous for their complicated love story. The power couple broke their first engagement in 2004 after they had been engaged for two years before they reignited their romance 17 years later in 2021 and got married in 2022.

Barely one year after walking into marital bliss, Lopez and Affleck have made their first big purchase — a $61 dollar mansion in the heart of Los Angeles. Read on for more information on Lopez and Affleck’s multi-million dollar mansion.

Having broken their engagement in 2004, not a single person had it in their bingo card that Lopez and Affleck would circle back to each other. The entertainment duo called off their engagement after two years due to excessive scrutiny from the media.

Once their engagement was called off, the couple moved on swiftly to other people. Barely five months after her split from Affleck, the actress tied the knot with musician Marc Anthony. The duo had been friends prior, so when Lopez experienced her first big heartbreak, Anthony was a shoulder for her to cry on.
“It was probably my first big heartbreak, and to have one of my best friends who I’d known for years, who I actually love and did have chemistry with, come into my life and say, ‘I’m here’…What you need to know is, nobody can save you or heal you,” she continued. “Only you can do that for you,” Lopez said.

The couple welcomed their twin daughters four years into their marriage and called it quits in 2014 after a mutual agreement to go their separate ways.

Although quite later than Lopez, Affleck too soon returned to the dating scene following their break up. Affleck and Jennifer Garner started dating in October 2004 and exchanged marital vows in 2005 after a whirlwind romance. The couple was married for 10 years until 2015 when their marriage fell apart. However, it wasn’t until 2018 that the divorce between Affleck and Garner was finalized. Affleck and Garner welcomed three children during the course of their marriage.

Marriage comes with a lot of expectations like starting a family, investing in one another, and, for many, getting a home together. Since the power couple tied the knot in 2022, Lopez and Affleck have been doing just that. The lovebirds run a blended family and have been supporting one another in their various crafts. In more recent updates, their two-year search for a place to call home has finally come to an end.

In May 2023, the couple wrote down their names as owners of a magnificent home in the heart of Los Angeles after parting with a humongous sum of $60,850,000. According to the property listing, the celebrity power couple got the property for a steal at that price, as it was originally listed for $135 million. Helping the couple seal the multi-million dollar deal was Brett Lawyer, a Los Angeles luxury real estate agent, who has been nationally ranked by the Wall Street Journal for over a decade and has a rich list of high-profile clients.

The vast estate sits on an estimated 5-acre gated community in Wallingford Estates, in Beverly Hills. The mansion is equally vast, with an estimated 38,000 square feet of air-conditioned living space, and that is only the tip of the iceberg. The palatial property is equipped with 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a lush yard, a deck made for sunbathing and a 155-foot infinity-edge swimming pool with a rewarding view of the surrounding canyons.

More than being a home for the couple and their blended family, the estate is also a fun spot for the family. It houses an indoor sports facility with a boxing ring, a well-furnished gym, basketball and pickleball courts, and a sports bar with a video wall, among others.
