In a video captioned with a message of self-expression, she encouraged individuals of all genders, stating, “It’s never too late [to] start reinventing yourself, even if it is something subtle like a new hairstyle. To all the girls, boys, and [non-binary]…Enjoy life, express yourself in whatever creative ways [make] you happy. Life is too short to hide your beauty. Let the world see you shine!⭐️”

In a subsequent update, Gypsy, who spent seven years incarcerated following a 2016 guilty plea for the second-degree murder of her mother, Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, used the occasion to enlighten her followers about the significance of hair donation.

In a video message, she expressed her long-standing desire to contribute her hair to a charity creating wigs for individuals facing hair loss, particularly those undergoing cancer treatments. Gypsy disclosed her plan to send her hair to “The Great Cut,” a charity dedicated to providing hair replacements for children dealing with medical-related hair loss.

Addressing her history of hair loss due to Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy, a condition in which she suffered unnecessary medical treatments reportedly orchestrated by her mother, Gypsy shared her challenging journey and advocated for hair donation.

Reflecting on her childhood experiences, including a falsified cancer diagnosis and head shaving by her mother, she empathetically urged her social media followers to consider donating their hair.

Opening up about the emotional impact of her own hair loss, Gypsy revealed, “For me, not having hair was really hard on my self-esteem. So, I just want to do something to help other people that are going through issues with hair loss because I know the only time that I ever felt beautiful is when I was wearing a wig.”

Sharing a photo of herself without hair, she emphasized the significance of supporting those facing similar challenges. Concluding the video on a positive note, Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was released early from a ten-year prison sentence in December 2023, seized the moment to loosen her hair from a ponytail, exclaiming, “I think it looks kinda cute.”

Gypsy’s followers wasted no time expressing their sentiments in the comments section. One user wrote, “[You] are a good person Gypsy Rose!❤️.” Another user speculated about the authenticity of her previous longer hair, commenting, “That longer hair that you had certain looks like hair extensions, [sic].” A third netizen commended Gypsy for her charitable act, stating, “PERIOD DOING IT FOR A GOOD CAUSE .”
