“American Idol” alum Kellie Pickler was elated when she wed her beloved husband at 26, saying he was ”the best thing that ever happened” to her.

American Idol” alum Kellie Pickler was thrilled when she wed her darling husband at 26, calling him “the best thing that ever happened” to her.

The couple enjoyed 12 years of marital bliss in their luxurious and cozy home.

In February, Pickler lost her beloved life partner in a tragic turn of events, left with only their precious memories.

Kellie Pickler is an accomplished American country music singer, songwriter, actress, and TV personality. She gained widespread recognition as a contestant on the fifth season of “American Idol” in 2006, where she showcased her exceptional talent and finished in sixth place.

Shortly after her stint on the show, Pickler signed a recording contract with 19 Recordings and BNA Records, launching her career as a recording artist. Her notable hits, including “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful” and “Best Days of Your Life,” which she co-wrote alongside the acclaimed artist Taylor Swift, further solidified her success in the music industry.

Born in Albemarle, North Carolina, Picker faced challenging circumstances in her early years. Her father’s alleged frequent involvement with the criminal justice system meant he was in and out of jail during her childhood.

Tragically, Pickler’s mother made allegations of abuse against her husband, leading her to make the difficult decision to abandon Pickler when she was just two years old. Consequently, Pickler was left under the care of her grandparents, who assumed the role of raising and nurturing her during her formative years.

Pickler’s life changed for the best when she crossed paths with her future life partner, Kyle Jacobs. They began dating in 2008, and after two and a half years together, Jacobs proposed in June 2010.

Their journey to marriage took an unexpected turn when they decided to have a low-key ceremony on a private island in the Caribbean. On January 1, 2011, surrounded by the serene beauty of their chosen location, Pickler and Jacobs exchanged their vows.

Reflecting on their spontaneous wedding, Pickler fondly described the experience in an interview. They didn’t plan much in advance, simply packing her wedding dress and Jacob’s outfit before embarking on their adventure. They didn’t know what kind of cake or food they would have, but the day was the most incredible one of Pickler’s life.

On another occasion, Pickler shared her heartfelt sentiments about Jacobs, stating, “The best thing that’s ever happened to me was my husband.” She referred to him as her “sanctuary” and “rock,” emphasizing the significance of their relationship. Pickler’s deep connection with Jacobs was further cemented when he played the song “Say I Do” for her, which beautifully encapsulated their life and love story.

Pickler’s Nashville home, which she purchased at 24, is a captivating oasis that radiates elegance and comfort. Situated in the prestigious Green Hills neighborhood, this residence boasts an array of exquisite features and thoughtful design elements.

The house, crafted with meticulous attention to detail, offers a generous 4,865 square feet of living space. Its spacious and lovely living room serves as the backdrop for Pickler’s interviews, exuding a warm and inviting ambiance.

Throughout the home, luxurious amenities await. An elevator provides convenient access to all levels, ensuring seamless movement within the residence. A media room with state-of-the-art technology offers a cozy sanctuary for entertainment enthusiasts.

The screened porch, complete with a fireplace, allows for tranquil moments immersed in nature’s beauty. A terrace with a barbecue station beckons for outdoor gatherings and culinary delights. And not to be forgotten, a refreshing pool invites residents to unwind and bask in the serenity of their private retreat.

The residence comprises four bedrooms and four full bathrooms, accompanied by a partial bathroom, providing ample space and privacy for residents and guests.

The master bedroom, located on the first floor, is a haven of luxury with its wooden floors, wood-beamed ceiling, and a lavish ensuite bathroom featuring exquisite tile and granite. Fans have been granted a glimpse into Pickler and Jacobs’ home through their reality series, “I Love Kellie Pickler.” The series showcased their Nashville residence as a backdrop for their personal and professional experiences, inviting viewers into their world.

In March 2014, the country star turned to Facebook and shared a picture of her favorite place in her house—the back porch swing. Pickler noted how she and Jacobs used that cherished spot to unwind and enjoy each other’s company, as it offered a sense of peace and tranquility, reminding them of the joy in life’s simplicity.

During her tours, Pickler has her own motor home, affectionately named after her grandmother Faye. This custom-designed sanctuary on wheels serves as her home away from home.

The motor home is equipped with all the facilities and luxuries of a cozy place, including a spacious living room, a top-of-the-line kitchen, and a bedroom that doubles as a mini oasis.

It caters to her needs, providing bathrooms, bedrooms, guest rooms, and even a custom kennel to ensure her dogs are safe and happy. Notably, the motor home also features an ice machine, adding convenience and comfort to her travels.

On February 17, Pickler’s husband, Jacobs, tragically took his own life in their Nashville home. He reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Three months after his death, Pickler was seen near their $2.4 million home, conversing with friends.

She appeared without makeup, wearing a red “Santa’s pub” T-shirt and her long blonde hair in a bun, her face visibly marked by grief as she greeted and embraced her loved ones.

Pickler has remained silent publicly since her husband’s death, and her social media accounts have been inactive. Before his death, Jacobs celebrated the platinum success of Lee Brice’s album, “Hey World,” on which he worked as a producer, acoustic guitarist, and backing vocalist.

In his final Instagram post on February 16, 2023, he expressed his gratitude and happiness, writing, “Platinum?! SWEEEET!!! An amazing crew of incredibly talented peeps put this one together…Deeply honored to be a creative part of it…Thank you, Jesus!!!” The post reflected his joy and appreciation for being involved in the project.
